Manufacturing of Wear Resistant Iron-Steel: A Theoretical and Experimental Research on Wear Behavior

In this study, four different alloys of steel blocks with a thickness 15mm were manufactured in order to develop an alternative plates used wear exposed areas construction machines, trucks, and asphalt production plants. To further increase the resistance blocks, their was reduced 10mm by hot-rolling method. Wear specimens obtained from rolled blocks. These abraded at 20N, 40N, 60N loads reciprocating linear motion module ASTM G-33 standards determine resistance. SEM EDX analyses also conducted see modifications on worn surfaces. addition, theoretical model behaviors created, calculations made Archard equation ANSYS software, experimental results compared
